soldiers and Chinese detectives to raid the Union,
detained its officers, took away all its property and
documents and left some soldiers to guard it. To such a pitch have they come in their cruelty and violence.
The Kung Tun Tsung ui is our own identical Union in Hong Kong under a disguised name, and can also
be called by our old name. It is the head union of all labour associations in Hong Kong, and has led all the workmen in Fong Kong to fight in favour of our Revolution. It achieved a great success during the general strike in Hong Kong and is our only weapon for the overthrow of Imperialism in Hong Kong. The recent destruction of it by force by the Hong Kong Goverment is not only a great loss to our workmen and fellow-countrymen in Hong Kong, but also to our National Revolution. We must appeal to our Kuomintang Government and all workmen and revolutionists in our country to render them assistance and make the Goverment of Hong Kong withraw all such interference and oppression and refrain from similar actions towards our mas.es in the Colony, so as to afford proper protection to the Kung Tun Tsung Vui and secure for our fellow-countrymen there the freedom of seembly, Then all our workmen and fellow-countrymen in the Colony will be ever grateful. We are filled with indignation as we send you this, and we look to you with all eagerness.
The Kung Tun Tsung Tui,
Dated 4th (April, 1927).
Hong Kong.
